Who We Are
A communications agency built for the East African market.
We're women-founded, Kampala-based, and remote-first by design. Our founder spent 15 years in East African communications before starting the firm on 2nd January 2023, and the practice is built around what we saw missing: strategic work that also delivered locally, without one side letting the other down.
We work across five sectors we know well — agriculture, climate change, sport, technology, and tourism. Clients include international organisations, development partners, and East African businesses that are growing beyond a founder's inbox.
Most engagements last longer than a project. Holland Greentech has hired us six times. The Inspector General of Government: three years. Hon. Diana, three years. 1MTN is now in year two. That pattern is the point.
Our Approach
Strategy first. Culture always.
We started this firm because we kept seeing the same pattern: African organisations communicating with frameworks and language borrowed from somewhere else, then wondering why the message wasn't landing.
Every engagement starts with listening. To the organisation, to the people it needs to reach, to the room it operates in. Then we build the strategy — and we build it to work here, not to look impressive on a proposal.
We've worked with multinationals, development organisations, government institutions, and founder-led businesses. Different sectors, different goals, one underlying problem — they needed to be better understood, and we helped them get there.
"African organisations don't have a visibility problem. They have a clarity problem. The story is there — it just hasn't been told in a way that connects."
— Aggie Patricia Turwomwe, Founder
Our Principle
We build for two audiences at once: the local one that needs to see itself in the message, and the global one that needs it to hold up in their world.
AMA doesn't sell communication activities,
we solve communication problems.
we solve communication problems.
Strategic Communication Services
We don't just communicate — we build the infrastructure your organisation needs to be heard, understood, and trusted in East Africa.
Problems we solve
Entering a market where people don't understand you.
Having visibility without stakeholder trust.
Building reputation before a crisis.
Turning complex work into a story people understand.
How We Work
Four phases. In this order, always.
Most agencies start at phase three. We think that's why so much of the work in this region fails to land.
01
Discovery
We spend real time understanding your world before we recommend anything. Who your audience actually is, what they already believe, what your competitors sound like, what the media in your sector covers, and where the openings are.
02
Strategy
A plan you'll actually use. Objectives, messages, audiences, channels, and how we'll know it worked. We write it with your team, not for them — because a strategy nobody helped shape rarely gets followed.
03
Execution
The visible work. Content, media outreach, events, campaigns, internal comms, training. This is where most agencies start; we only start here once the first two phases are done.
04
Measurement
What shifted. Coverage, engagement, sentiment, reputation. We review monthly, adjust the plan, and tell you what's working and what isn't — including when the answer is uncomfortable.

Their guidance was instrumental in the recruitment of sales, marketing, business development associates, agronomists, and an accountant. This comprehensive approach has empowered our team and positioned us to meet our ambitious revenue goal of UGX 3 billion in 2023.
